Who we are

data.new helps companies value and license their operational data for AI. We estimate what a company's data might be worth and, when a company asks us to, work with vetted partners to bring it to market. Companies pay us nothing; we're paid only if a deal closes.

What we never collect

We never receive, host, store or transfer your company's data. Any data license is set out in your own contract, which spells out what's included and how it's protected.

What we collect

• Calculator answers: employee count, years of data, number of business entities, share of data in English, headquarters region, and whether your data includes regulated information.
• Contact details you give us: company name and website, your name, role, work email, phone number, LinkedIn profile (optional), and your description of your data (optional).
• Consent record: the exact wording of the consent you tick, with the time and your IP address.
• Usage data: which screens you view and complete, and your calculator answers without any contact details, so we can see where the site works and where it doesn't. We use our hosting provider's privacy-friendly analytics, which don't use cookies.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider logs briefly to run and protect the site.

Who receives it

With your consent, we share your contact details, company details and calculator answers with vetted partners that license data for AI (AI companies and the data companies that supply them) so they can contact you about licensing your company's data. We may do this by submitting your details through a partner's own intake or application form. We share only what's needed for that introduction.

Each partner handles your information under its own privacy policy. We don't sell your information for any other purpose, or share it with anyone else, apart from the service providers that run data.new for us: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (email delivery) and Slack (our team's internal messaging, where new requests arrive).

How we contact you

We email you your estimate and next steps, and every email about your estimate includes an unsubscribe link. One-time verification codes are sent only when you ask for one. Partners we work with on your behalf may contact you by email or phone about a possible deal.

How long we keep it

data.new doesn't keep a customer database. When you send your details, they go to our team's inbox and internal messaging. We keep them while we're looking for a match or a deal is in progress, and for as long as we need them to account for fees, then delete them. Calculator answers you enter without sending the form are not stored with your identity.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time by emailing privacy@data.new. We'll also ask any partner we shared your details with to delete them. Deletion doesn't cancel a license you've already signed.
